Yesterday was a bad day in the financial markets. It was also a bad day for taxpayers – hello $85 billion dollar loan! I hope we get a good return… well… just a return on our investment. Some people had some fun with the plethora of reporters hanging around the financial district. Watch and [...] My parents were out last week and I took a bunch of photos. Rather than filling the gallery with a bunch of photos that will never be viewed I decided to share only my favorites. In no particular order of preference, here are the best photos from the week. You’ll notice that these are devoid of people because I’ve never been great at capturing natural expressions in good lighting. I may get one but I’ll seldom get two. I took 8-9 versions of this shot and thought that this was the best out of all of them. If you look at the full version you’ll see some jaggies throughout the image. What I wouldn’t do for a DSLR. You won’t be able to see any of the artifacts at this resolution you see on your screen. admin edit – photo removed admin edit – photo removed A few months ago we had a few “problems” with the dogs trying to escape. I rigged an elaborate and probably excessive enclosure around and above the kennel to thwart any further escape attempts. I can’t imagine trying to stop the dog in the following video from escaping. This dog has done the impossible. [...] Part of the elections process is pandering to the extreme ends of your particular political party while trying to gain as many votes from the undecided or the other parties. Part of the process is giving your party a platform that will excite the faithful. They’ll bring out their new platform in a series [...] Someone had way to much time on their hands and did a modern take on Gremlins – you’ve got to watch the entire clip. Its quite impressive. Sarah Palin has only been under intense public scrutiny for a few days and boy oh boy she’s a goldmine of fun. First off, she is an advocate of abstinence ONLY education.
