I just saw something on the news the other day about Portland General Electric rolling out a rooftop solar project using some new tech thin-film panels. I think this may be the solar materials that are manufactured using an ink-jet type process to shoot it onto rolls of flexible material. Pretty cool stuff.

Someday when I’ve got time and money to invest in this sort of thing… or pigs fly, heh… I’d like to plunge into alt energy projects at our place. We’ve got the ideal spot for both wind and solar. I’d really like to see battery tech improve though.
P.S. humans are lemmings. I did software sales post 9/11, pretty interesting to watch how people’s barometer for new purchases + the Dow ratcheted up rather randomly after they got tired of cold pessimism for dinner every night.
