I’ve won two awards since I’ve been in the military – two. In my career field we have little opportunity to rub shoulders with any of the big wigs and we are always seperated by a fence and a large distance from the rest of the base so we are often ignored. Our Christmas Photo My parents were out last week and I took a bunch of photos. Rather than filling the gallery with a bunch of photos that will never be viewed I decided to share only my favorites. You can still check out the full sized versions in the gallery by clicking on the pop up icon (to the right of the camera icon). In no particular order of preference, here are the best photos from the week. You’ll notice that these are devoid of people because I’ve never been great at capturing natural expressions in good lighting. I may get one but I’ll seldom get two. I took 8-9 versions of this shot and thought that this was the best out of all of them. If you look at the full version you’ll see some jaggies throughout the image. What I wouldn’t do for a DSLR. You won’t be able to see any of the artifacts at this resolution you see on your screen. admin edit – photo removed admin edit – photo removed Jessica and I joined Jeff and Leanne at a campground near Ocean Shores, WA for a few days of camping and relaxation. The weather didn’t completely cooperate with us as we spent much of the time huddling around the campfire shivering but at least we didn’t have to deal with any rain. The camping [...] The dang dog got out again – he broke out of the kennel without too much difficulty. We have had quite a hard time trying to keep him contained in the back yard. We reinforced part of the kennel by placing a piece of fence over the top in an effort to prevent him [...] I mentioned that we were going to be busy as heck this weekend and I was lucky enough to have enough time to upload a few photos. I’m not in either photo – mainly because I feel that even though I look fantastic I am extremely unphotogenic. Jessica is looking fantastic in each of [...] We started with two dogs and traded one back in – she wasn’t a bad dog – she was just ridiculously lazy. We’re back to two of them and I forgot how much I missed having dogs. I moved away from my parents house years ago and that was the last time I had [...] In Iraq I really only knew a few things to be true – I knew that it was going to be hot during the day and I also knew that it was going to be dark and noisy at night. . When I finally left I rode out on dark and noisy military [...] It is quite hard to find humor in my life here but there are a few things that make me laugh – daily – in Iraq.
