On a normal year of which I’ve had 2 in the past 8, Super Bowl Sunday is always the highlight of my week. This year, as I spend it in the desert, I missed out on two pieces of the puzzle: commercials and beer. Unfortunately, I fell asleep earlier today and missed out on [...] Our 2nd annual Halloween party was another smashing success. Almost everyone that came to drink ended up getting smashed. Jessica’s entire family showed up this year complete with an RV to make Joe’s costume seem that much more authentic. (see the photo below and think of Chevy Chase movies) We have a bunch of [...] It’s a struggle to stay occupied on the weekends when the rest of the time zone is sleeping. I have a few things that I would like to do but I need the freedom to make as much noise as I want and I really need the warming glow of the sun above me. [...] So this past weekend John and I received our tax refunds. After budgeting some money in for our cars, we decided to splurge on ourselves. Friday night John and I decided that we were going to go snowboarding at Steven’s Pass. We threw together our stuff and ended up having some friends over for [...] Jessica and I are recovering from a bout of the SARS/Bird Flu/West Nile Virus and haven’t felt up to doing much. We’re fairly sure that one of her friends was the original carrier of the crud and infected the both of us. I can only hope that I didn’t pass it on to anyone [...] So last weekend John and I had our first Halloween party. We had spent all week getting food and decorations ready. It actually turned out pretty cool. We had the new beer pong table, spooky treats, and witches brew. Leanne and Jeff were great and made 100 jello shots for the party. It was [...] Once in a while I want to drink a beer and once in a while I hate my tastebuds. When those two events occur on the same day I slum it and drink cheap beer. A couple of weeks ago I went out to a bar for a friends birthday where I decided [...] I have not posted in quite a while, for I have been wreck for the last month. I am trying to get about 3 quarters worth of stuff done in half of one. It’s been crazy. I have been spending many night with only 3 hours of sleep and a lot of time studying.
