We’ve hardly had any real downtime since I’ve been home and it isn’t a bad thing. We’ve been busy hanging out with the extended family, attending weddings, playing with the dogs, cleaning the house, and we’ve been having a great time doing all of that. We won’t have any slow days until sometime next [...] The replacements are here and the pass-on has been completed. The new guy doesn’t have any of his worker bees yet but I can’t do anything about that. If all goes to plan – and there is no plan – I’ll be home within the next 14 days. Isn’t that an overly broad swath [...] Switching to night shift is always difficult and the events of this week haven’t made it any easier. I’ve found that it takes a good 4-5 days for me to get my internal clock adjusted to working an off shift. I need copious amounts of caffeine to make this work because I can’t stay [...] There was a point in time where I would spend hours looking for something that interested me. I would spend days on the internet trying to stay entertained and I would share much of what I found here, at this blog. Lately, however, I’ve found that life outside the internet is far more fulfilling [...] I haven’t been actively avoiding updates but it feels like I have. The last few weeks have been quite busy and we’ve found ourselves celebrating National Corn Dog Day, running 63 flights of stairs for lukemia, and celebrating St. Patricks day with a few libations. I’ve got a golf tournament to run in about [...] Jessica and I have been busy as of late with the limited wedding planning that we can do at the moment. He tracked down the phone number for the company and requested they remove him from the list. They didn’t want to remove him from the fax list because they were far [...] I mentioned that we were going to be busy as heck this weekend and I was lucky enough to have enough time to upload a few photos.
