This particular post was not inspired by some random urge to write about the state that for the longest time I knew as my home. In fact, I’m only writing about Iowa because someone else did all of the hard work for me. YAWASP, a plug-in for fully hosted versions of WordPress like mine has effectively stopped the torrents of comment spam that I was [...] We all fight spam in one form or another be it snail mail, email, or comment spam. I’ve done a fairly good job at blocking out the email spam but and I can readily ignore the snail mail by throwing it in the trash. I haven’t had good luck blocking out the comment spam. [...] I have never been one to share – some things I share freely – others I hoard. For example, I will only loan a DVD to someone else if I know where they live because I’ve seen some of mine run away in the past. I’ll share food freely if you happen to drop [...] XKCD started as random scribbles by the author that were scanned and saved for posterity. Somebody found them and they became a phenom. This comic, in particular, should serve as a guide on how to comment on the schlock that you will find posted on this website.
