Our 2nd annual Halloween party was another smashing success. Almost everyone that came to drink ended up getting smashed. Jessica’s entire family showed up this year complete with an RV to make Joe’s costume seem that much more authentic. (see the photo below and think of Chevy Chase movies) We have a bunch of [...] It’s a struggle to stay occupied on the weekends when the rest of the time zone is sleeping. I have a few things that I would like to do but I need the freedom to make as much noise as I want and I really need the warming glow of the sun above me. [...] So last weekend John and I had our first Halloween party. We had spent all week getting food and decorations ready. It actually turned out pretty cool. We had the new beer pong table, spooky treats, and witches brew. Leanne and Jeff were great and made 100 jello shots for the party. It was [...] Par for the course during the first week of mid-shift is an inability to sleep throughout the “night.” I only got four hours of sleep and I’m wide awake now. There is no going back to sleep and I will be exhausted by the time I go to bed tomorrow. Luckily, day two always [...] It’s 11:46 and Jessica and I still have an hour left of prep tonight for our party tomorrow. We’ve got a bit of prep to do tomorrow but most of the hard work is done. It will take us a few hours to get into our costumes – it should be fun. More [...] Today, Leanne, Jeff, Kayla and I took a trip to H&L produce to pick some pumpkins. The plan was to go to a pumpkin patch in Orting, however the 1.39 inches of rain made us not so excited about that idea. So we went to the same place John and I went to our [...] Since I knew John was leaving for 3 whole weeks and he wouldn’t be here for Halloween, I got him to celebrate a little bit early with me. We didn’t have much time so we couldn’t go to a REAL pumpkin patch and get pumpkins, we had to go to a produce store instead. [...] |
