It’s final. The paperwork has been processed and we own a house. I’ll put some pictures up later instead of trying to explain it. It’s got quite a few positives 1. decent commute (for both of us) 2. there isn’t anything wrong with it 3. it’s a decent sized place (2000 SF) [...] Neither of us has known brand of creature is growing inside of Jessica. Girl, boy, monster, alien, or unicorn are some of the suggestions thrown at us. Using all “indicators” we had a mixed bag on a guess. As such, I’ve gotten pretty good at diagnosing if a problem is software or hardware related. Jessica’s laptop started to glitch about a month ago and the symptoms made me think of a dire diagnosis – the LCD panel [...] After a long trek, I’ve made it back home. The drive was less than fun as there was nothing interesting out there. All I saw was miles and miles of miles and miles. I was worried in western Wyoming when I hit a patch of really bad road. In other words, the first time [...] Jessica went to the doctor after work yesterday for a checkup. She said it was probably the shortest amount of time that she’s ever spent in a doctors office. She heard the heartbeat for all of three seconds, he asked her for a few questions, and they sent her on her way. She needs [...] Presented in chronological order January 10 – 2011 Jessica called me this morning. The first words out of her mouth “I’m pregnant.” Woah! That is one hell of a way to start a morning. We talked for a bit and I assured her that I was excited. In fact, I’ve had a hard time not smiling all day long. I am so happy about this. It’s going to be a bumpy nine months but I can’t wait for it. She told her best friend, Cassy, the good news and is holding off on telling more people the news until she gets official word from the doc. Life as we know it is definitely going to be different.
