I have not posted in quite a while, for I have been wreck for the last month. I am trying to get about 3 quarters worth of stuff done in half of one. It’s been crazy. I have been spending many night with only 3 hours of sleep and a lot of time studying. [...]

For the next few months I’m going to be the designated person that is going to work nightshift. I’m the only one working but I think I’ll be able to keep myself motivated and on task (well, aside from a random blog post here or there). I’ve got an important test coming up in [...]

Well, after 130 some odd days my time in dodge is finally over and I am getting the heck out of here. I’ve got more time to kill before my plane gets here but I don’t have to sleep another night (or day in my case) in Iraq.
The most baffling thing about my [...]

Well, it’s near the end of the month and many have failed to partake in the madness. I am one of the few left and its probably the most hideous abomination of a mustache on earth. Its so grotesque that I feared breaking my camera. I know that some of you are screaming at [...]

I’ve been crashing the last few days for some unexplained reason. I’m not driving vehicles into solid objects but rather experiencing my body deplete its energy reserves. Last night, about an hour before chow I noticed that I was having an extremely hard time concentrating. Little bits of time were disappearing and I was [...]

Airborne – how many times have I been told about the wonders of this supplement? Ok, so I still haven’t done what I set out to do on my day off but I’m getting closer to it with each passing week. I have extremely little free time on a daily basis as I have scheduled only enough time to plow through my routine. There is no extra time for anything else unless I want to cut into my sleep schedule. I do well on 6 hours of sleep but 7 is better. Unfortunately, I don’t move fast enough when I wake up and that extra hour is imperative. Jessica, on the other hand, wants 10 hours of sleep a night. I have no idea how she sleeps that much and still has enough time to do everything. Even when I am bored and have little to do sleep is always a last option for me – she is down for a nap at almost anytime of the day. Often she insists that I join her – Continue reading A little bit of that and this and that and a….

I feel like writing something while knowing full well that I have little to share. I’ve mentioned almost everything of note in previous posts and there is very little that you don’t know about my experience while I am in Iraq. I still feel the need to post – but only time will tell [...]

I love thunderstorms – I love seeing the rain come down in torrents – I love seeing the sky flash with lighting and hearing the wind whip through the trees. I love hearing the crack of thunder that reverberates across the countryside. I don’t mind the aftermath because I got a great show. I [...]

Sleep has been a mysterious vixen that I have been unable to catch. She has evaded me at every turn and has thwarted my every attempt to catch her. For the past few weeks I have been unable to sleep through the night.
Two nights ago I finally caught that bitch and tied her [...]
