Much of the country is digging their way out this morning after the snowpocalypse dumped up to 18 inches of snow across the country. I’ve lived through storms far worse than this but it’s been a while since I’ve been in a place as unprepared for snow as Oklahoma. How cool would it be to have [...] When I woke up this morning I was thrilled to be walking around in 65 degree weather at 3AM until I realized that it was only going to get warmer from that point forward Even though I live on base it still feels like a third world country – my power is so unstable [...] For starters I’m not freezing to death. On average, its been about 20 degrees warmer throughout the entire day. Last time I was here we endured temps that hovered in the high teens and low twenties but now the nighttime low is in the 40s. We’ve had constant rain for the past few days and almost everything is flooded. The ground is completely saturated and there is nowhere for the water to go. The forecast calls for 6-20 inches of additional snow and we’ve still not seen a snowplow head down our street.
